Today – October 28th, 2016 – This week we had an unfortunate fire at one of the empty, unoccupied homes. The home is a duplex, located on the north side of Officer’s Row and was in the final stages of renovation. The fire has been ruled an accident by the Seattle Fire Department and the home is now secured from any entry. In the coming weeks, RISE Properties will be working with our construction team to develop a rebuild schedule. Our team of talented crafts and construction workers had spent months restoring the home and we’re committed to bringing it back to full enjoyment, as part of the collection of legacy homes at Fort Lawton.
As we reported earlier, no other homes were damaged and we anticipate that residences under renovation will be completed by the end of this year, 2016. Yesterday we opened the doors to the grand dame of Fort Lawton, the Ellicott, so please schedule a time to come by and tour this stately home. It is truly a one-of-a-kind estate.
In close, we want to sincerely thank the Seattle Fire Department for their quick response and ensuring that our team was safe. They are an impressive group to watch in action and we appreciate all that they do for our community.
